Our cosmetology program can equip you with the skills and knowledge you need for a successful future in the beauty industry. The 1500-hour cosmetology program combines engaging lectures, demonstrations from industry professionals, and the potential for hands-on practices in our student-run salon under the supervision of licensed professionals. Our cosmetology program can be completed in as little as a year!

Cosmetology students experience two distinct phases of the program. First, you’ll spend 450 hours building a strong foundation of cosmetology theory and technique in a classroom setting. The remaining 1,050 hours are spent applying your knowledge in a real-world salon environment. Our curriculum is designed to teach you both the hard and soft skills you’ll need to both provide professional beauty services and successfully work with clients. Our goal is to help you become salon-ready upon graduation so you can start your future in beauty.

Our structured curriculum follows a clear path to success, preparing you to sit for the state board exams to become a licensed cosmetologist. We are proud of our 100% exam pass rate for 2024 and have achieved this standard many times over the years. Cosmetology Program Enrollment Requirements

Attend an interview and information session at the school
Submit your application for a $50 application fee
Submit your high school transcript or equivalent
Provide a Social Security card and state-issued picture ID
Complete the Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology contract agreement

How long does the cosmetology program take to complete?

Our cosmetology program consists of 1500 hours of training, including theory, demonstrations, lectures, and hands-on practice. What kind of job opportunities are there after graduation?

Graduates of our cosmetology program can pursue many exciting careers, including work as hairstylists, nail technicians, or salon managers. Graduates might work in a local salon, find opportunities in other states, or even work on cruise ships or in boutique hotels. We provide career placement services that help you find opportunities in your preferred locations. Our job placement efforts start in the classroom and continue with one-on-one personal assistance, helping you prepare your resume, prep for interviews, and land great job opportunities.

Do you offer financial aid?

What does the cosmetology curriculum cover?

Our cosmetology program covers many topics, including:

Can I complete the program if I struggle in high school?

All applicants are required to provide their high school/GED transcripts. Students with learning challenges and/or below-average scores are counseled by school staff as to the impact on their performance at Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology. We have found that many who struggled in high school thrive in our visual, hands-on learning environment, studying a subject they love. Therefore, we consider these tests as a gauge for class academic curves and information to help prepare our instructors on how best to assist our students.
