Ready to Enroll?
Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology tries to make starting your beauty education as straightforward as possible. We encourage all prospective students to schedule a campus tour to visit our professional facilities and meet our experienced instructors. Then, you can submit your application online, along with the required fee and additional paperwork. You’ll also want to fill out the FAFSA to see if you are eligible for grants or low-interest educational loans.
After you’ve submitted all your paperwork, our admissions team will contact you to discuss the next steps. That will include attending an orientation meeting to learn more about our programs, policies, and expectations. You’ll finalize your enrollment by signing all the necessary paperwork. Then you can get ready for your first day of classes!

FAQs About Admissions and Enrollment
Admissions requirements will depend on your age and what program you are applying for. In general, you’ll need a high school diploma or a GED, and will be required to attend an interview with our admissions team. If you are interested in our cosmetology instructor program, you must meet additional requirements, including a current North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners Cosmetology License.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Various financial aid options are available, including grants, loans, and scholarships. Our financial aid team can help you determine your eligibility and guide you through the application process. Make an appointment with them to learn more.
Our career services department can help you prepare for your dream job in the beauty industry. They offer resume-building help, interview prep, job search support, and job placement assistance.
The Cosmetology course can be challenging to some and may require study time to learn subjects such as anatomy, chemistry, and electricity. Our curriculum is geared towards hands-on and visual learners. One of the many reasons we love this industry is that creativity is most important. Our instructors are trained on how best to teach the material so that all students will succeed. Additional guidance is available for students as needed.
Yes. All students are provided with books, manikins, tools, equipment, and uniforms. The contents are specific to your chosen course and may include learning materials from REDKEN and Milady. Our comprehensive kits are designed to take you through the first year of your professional career, giving you all the tools you need to get started in the beauty industry.
Transfer hours are accepted from another school upon passing Practical and Theory exams at Pinnacle Institute, each at 90% or above rate. Pinnacle accepts 50% of the hours previously earned.
